The CCBA conducts its annual Parade of Homes during which participating builders showcase their best home models to the public. The Parade of Homes is one of the largest and most popular public events in Citrus County, attracting thousands of visitors to the model homes from the community, other parts of Florida and from other states.

A committee of judges from outside of the CCBA, inspect the model homes and present awards in various categories. One of the most sought-after honors is the "WOW" award which is given to the model home with the most "consumer appeal." Rusaw Homes has won multiple "WOW" awards over the years and for several different home designs.
